LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Sister Rosamond Besendorf, OSU, a former teacher at Ursuline High School in Columbia, S.C., died Oct. 6 at the Marian Home. The funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 11 at the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel. Burial was at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Sister Besendorf was born in Louisville on Nov. 14, 1917, and was received into the Ursuline community in July 1938. She taught at a number of schools in addition to Ursuline High School in Columbia, including St. Therese, Ursuline Academy and Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville; St. Francis deSales in Morgantown, W.V.; and St. Patrick in North Platte, Neb.
She is survived by a brother, Joseph Besendorf, and her Ursuline family.
