AIKEN — For the last 30 years, vendors and onlookers have gathered in a carnival atmosphere at Aiken’s Makin’. Festive foods, music and skilled demonstrations are a draw for sightseers, who stroll along the parkways.
St. Mary Help of Christians Church engaged the crowd with its ongoing faith outreach by providing music and tours of its historic building.
The parish Evangel Team and Pro-Life Core Team, with help from the Diocese of Charleston’s Family Life Office, also collaborated to present a pro-life, pro-family and pro-marriage witness to the community during the event.
