‘Eucharistic Miracles’ exhibit visits S.C.

SIMPSONVILLE — The Eucharistic Miracles of the World, a Vatican international exhibition, was presented at St. Mary Magdalene Church July 13-15.

The exhibition included approximately 120-140 panels of photographs and historical descriptions of documented eucharistic miracles that have taken place throughout the world.

The exhibit is sponsored by The Real Presence Association, www.therealpresence.org.

People traveled to see the Simpsonville display from across the Carolinas and Georgia, according to a press release submitted by Richard and Barbara Morris, parishioners of St. Mary Magdalene.

“It’s really amazing, outstanding that God would give us throughout the years these miracles, so we would have no doubt of his eucharistic reality and presence,” Mike Mauro from St. Mary Magdalene stated on the release.

“If only our Protestant brethren would view this exhibit, too,” stated LaDonna Sexton from St. Mary Church in Greenville.

According to the press release, Chris Morris, a member of St. Mary Magdalene parish, described the exhibit as fantastic.

“It’s a real faith builder and it gives you a different perspective now, when you go to receive the Eucharist,” Morris stated.

Dominican Father Robert Goedert spoke at all the weekend masses July 13-15. He has traveled the world for 17 years encouraging perpetual eucharistic adoration, which is the practice of exposing the Eucharist 24 hours a day in a chapel.

The combination of focused homilies and the Vatican-approved exhibit on the eucharistic miracles drew over 1,000 people over the weekend and 268 signed up for an hour per week of eucharistic adoration, according to the press release.
