MYRTLE BEACH — Waves of Grace, the praise band at St. Andrew Church, has completed their self-titled debut CD and will be celebrating with a launch party and performance at the church’s Community Life Center at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1.
The band formed in 2001 to lead worship for the middle school youth group, and now provides music for the popular 5 p.m. Sunday Mass. Their music covers contemporary Christian hits to traditional hymns, said Becky Zdybel, leader and co-founder.
The CD was recorded during the summers of 2008 and 2009, according to a press release. It was produced by Steve Bailey, who has worked with Dizzy Gillespie, Willie Nelson and Jethro Tull, and includes original songs in addition to other contemporary Christian songs.
The Waves of Grace CD will be available for purchase at the launch party. It also can be purchased online at www.cdbaby.com or downloaded at www.digstation.com.
