Michael Pennell, principal of Prince of Peace, challenged St. Paul in the spirit of friendly competition.

It didn’t matter that neither school has a basketball team. They recruited players from the fifth and sixth grades, held a practice and played ball, said Patti Lanthier, principal at St. Paul the Apostle.

St. Paul ended up winning the game 26-14, Lanthier said. Both teams were cheered on by fellow students, parents and faculty.  Everyone at the event said it was great fun and they would love to do it again.

Pennell said as hosts they made welcome banners for St. Paul. They look forward to a rematch.
