Bishop Guglielmone names pastors, makes official assignmentsCHARLESTON—Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone has appointed the following former administrators to pastors.

Effective May 24, Father Ronald J. Farrell, pastor of St. Cyprian and St. Mary, Our Lady of Ransom in Georgetown;

Father Timothy Gahan, pastor of St. Paul the Apostle in Spartanburg; Father S. Thomas Kingsley, pastor of Church of the Nativity in Charleston; Father Henry N. Kulah, pastor of St. Patrick and Our Lady of Mercy in Charleston; Father Michael F. McCafferty, pastor of Sacred Heart in Gaffney and St. Augustine in Union; Father David A. Runnion, pastor of St. Catherine in Lancaster, St. Joseph in Chester and St. Michael Mission in Great Falls; Father Timothy Tebalt, pastor of St. Peter in Beaufort and Holy Cross Mission on St. Helena Island; and Father Agustin Torm, pastor of St. Anthony in Ridgeland and St. Mary Mission in Hampton.

Also effective May 24, Bishop Guglielmone appointed Father Gregory B. Wilson as rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Charleston and continuing as administrator in charge of St. Mary of the Annunciation in Charleston.

Effective June 1, the following appointments have been made by the bishop:

Father James N. Dubrouillet, pastor of St. Andrew in Barnwell, St. Theresa Mission in Springfield, and Sacred Heart Mission in Blackville; Father David Michael, administrator of St. Peter in Cheraw, St. Denis Mission in Bennetsville, and St. Ernest Mission in Pageland; and Father John Paul Reddy Pentareddy, parochial vicar of St. Francis by the Sea on Hilton Head Island.

Bishop Guglielmone made the following appointments, effective July 1:

Msgr. Lawrence B. McInerny, pastor of Stella Maris on Sullivan’s Island, will serve concurrently as administrator/rector pro tem of Bishop England High School; Father Donald S. Abbott, pastor of St. Gerard in Aiken; Father Robert E. Morey, pastor of St. Anthony in Florence; Father Jeffrey A. Kendall, pastor of St. Anthony Church and St. James the Greater Mission in Walterboro; Father Mathew Bulala, administrator of St. Ann in Kingstree, St. Philip the Apostle in Lake City and St. Patrick Mission in Johnsonville; and Father Lilson Rodrigues, Spanish ministry at St. Mary in Greenville, Our Lady of Lourdes in Greenwood and St. Paul the Apostle Mission in Seneca.

Effective July 1 — upon the recommendation of Very Rev. Fabio Refosco, CO, provost of the St. Philip Neri Oratory — the bishop made the following appointments:

Father Elbano Muñoz, CO, pastor of St. Anne in Rock Hill; Very Rev. Refosco, parochial vicar of St. Anne; Father Joseph A. Wahl, CO, canonical pastor of St. Mary in Rock Hill; Father Adilso Coelho, CO, pastor of Divine Saviour in York; Father Joseph F. Pearce, CO, parochial vicar of St. Philip Neri in Fort Mill and Our Lady of Grace Mission in Indian Land; and Father Edward P. McDevitt, CO, pastor of All Saints Mission in Lake Wylie.

Effective Aug. 1, the following appointment has been made by Bishop Guglielmone: Father Dwight Longenecker will serve concurrently as chaplain of St. Joseph’s Catholic School and administrator of Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenville.
