Knights state council donates to diocesan vocations

CHARLESTON—Tom Monahon, state deputy of the S.C. State Council Knights of Columbus, and Richard A. Gabriel, state secretary, presented Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone with a check for $5,000 for vocations June 1.

On behalf of the organization’s 8,600 members, the men also presented the bishop with two resolutions that were passed at the Knights of Columbus state convention in May.

The first reaffirmed their support for Bishop Guglielmone as apostolic vicar, and the second resolution pledged solidarity with all of the diocesan priests.

Continuing their theme of “Putting Our Catholic Faith in Action,” the Knights discussed charitable giving and supporting vocations, Scouting and pro-life activities at their meeting.
