The Miscellany adds video to its website

CHARLESTON—Most visitors to The Catholic Miscellany website may have noticed a new feature, the addition of video. The July 1 ordination was produced by staff member Stephanie Stockton and is the first of many. Plans are underway to add videos to many of the news articles posted to the Catholic news site.
The clips can also be found on the newspaper’s YouTube channel catholicmiscellany1.
In addition to news, the site will soon include features that deal with catechetical and educational topics.
The first of those will be a short production by Momentum Studios, www.themomentumstudio.com, on the sacrament of confirmation.
Momentum Studios is comprised of director/producer Wil Bernhard, a 16-year-old homeschooler, and Brent Hohman, a 29-year-old photographer, who is the director of photography.
The duo met several years ago while they were altar servers at St. Mary Church in Greenville. A shared interest in video production resulted in an entry to the www.goodnessreigns.com short film contest.
They focused on the sacrament of confession and won second place in the international contest for youth and young adults.
Bernhard and Hohman hope to create a series on the sacraments to inspire people of all ages.
