CHARLESTON—Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone made the following priest appointments, effective Sept. 12.
Father César Augusto Torres Pinzon from the Diocese of Garzón in Huila, Colombia, will be assigned as parochial vicar of St. Francis by the Sea Church on Hilton Head Island, St. Gregory the Great in Bluffton, and St. Peter in Beaufort, with residence at St. Peter.
Franciscan Father Hugo Ruíz will move from parochial vicar of St. Gregory the Great where he had responsibilities for ministering to the Hispanic community of St. Francis by the Sea, to serve as parochial vicar of Our Lady of Peace Church in North Augusta with additional future responsibilities for ministering to the Hispanic community of St. Mary Help of Christians in Aiken.
