Louis “Skip” Reville, former coach arrested on abuse charges

CHARLESTON—Louis “Skip” ReVille, a former tennis coach at Bishop England High School, was arrested Oct. 28 on child molestation charges.
Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone sent a memo to parents of Bishop England students on Nov. 1 informing them of the arrest.
The memo stated ReVille coached at the school during the 2008-10 seasons and decided to leave BEHS “on his own accord” at the end of the 2010 season.
“It saddens me a great deal when any child claims he was a victim of sexual abuse,” Bishop Guglielmone wrote.
“…The Diocese has no reports of any complaint against Mr. ReVille during his tenure at the school,” he continued. “Officials with the Diocese of Charleston will fully cooperate with authorities as this case is under investigation … Let us pray for the alleged victims, their family members and all victims of child sexual abuse.”
On Nov. 3, a judge set ReVille’s bond at more than $1 million after two new victims accused him of sexually assaulting them.
He is charged in five cases, facing three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of lewd acts on a minor. Investigators have said he confessed to charges that he sexually assaulted boys ages 13-15.
According to The Post and Courier newspaper, ReVille, 32, worked as a teacher and assistant coach at Pinewood Preparatory School in Summerville and as vice principal at Coastal Christian Preparatory School.
Bishop England, the married father of triplets also served as a foster parent, hosting four children in his home between 2004-2006. He coached for the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department, was a camp counselor for the Citadel, coached basketball for an area travel league and other area schools, and led a youth group at a Mount Pleasant Presbyterian church.
The bishop asked Bishop England parents and others in the community to contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at (843) 884-4176 if they had any information relevant to ReVille and the case, or knew of the existence of any additional victims.
