NORTH CHARLESTON—Saint Leo University-North Charleston Education Center has new offices that are more accessible to all adult learners.
The Catholic school, based in Saint Leo, Fla., has new classrooms located at 2430 Mall Drive, #185 in North Charleston.
Previously, the satellite university was situated on the Naval Weapons Station in Charleston.
Frank Osage, local director, said they were restricted at that site because they could only offer associate degrees and civilians weren’t allowed on the military base.
The new location is open to everyone and offers a variety of bachelor degrees, Osage said. It also provides theology classes for the diocesan diaconate program, and will offer an MBA program and a Master’s in criminal justice in the near future, he added.
The university was established by the Benedictines in 1889.
