Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone recently announced that Sacred Heart Mission in Blackville has been incorporated into Holy Trinity parish in Orangeburg.
The announcement was sent out in a memo Oct. 1 to pastors in the Diocese of Charleston. The change was effective that date. In his memo the bishop stated that the decision was made after consultation with Father James N. Dubrouillet, pastor of Sacred Heart, and the Presbyteral Council. The parishioners of Sacred Heart Mission were incorporated into Holy Trinity and the territory was reunited with that parish.
