MCCORMICK—Members of Good Shepherd Church’s “Joyful Journey” prayer group completed “33 Days to Morning Glory, A Do It Yourself Retreat” on Feb. 11. The 12 participants consecrated themselves to Jesus through Mary.
Each week was dedicated to one of four saints: Louis de Montfort, Maximillian Kolbe, Teresa of Calcutta, and John Paul II. Each day, they read a Marian-focused teaching and pondered its meaning throughout the day.
The group met weekly for discussion and to watch a video related to the saints presented by Father Michael E. Gaitley. At a Mass celebrated by Father Robert Sayer, pastor, they recited the Marian consecration prayer and renewed their baptismal vows.
