The merciful heart of the Virgin Mary is full of compassion and attentiveness to others’ needs. Since the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry, Mary has been next to her Son making significant appearances. At the marriage feast of Cana, moved with pity by the newly married couple and guests for the lack of wine, Mary suggests that Jesus intervene. In heaven, Mary continues to recognize our needs before we do, and continues to intercede for us with our Lord.
