Mary’s obedient “yes” to the angel to respond to God’s call is not only an extraordinary event in all human history, but it is also an invitation for all of us to explore our own histories and to write them anew in Him by exercising our own freedom by choosing the more excellent way. Mary is an example of surrendered love; when we follow this path, Love Incarnate is revealed through us so that He can be shared with others.
