Month of Mary Daily Devotion: May 31

This is part of a series of daily devotionals for May, the month of Mary.

During the feast of the Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth, Pope Benedict the 16th recalled, “this event is characterized by the joy expressed by the words with which the Blessed Virgin Mary glorifies the Almighty for the great things that He has done looking at the humility of his servant. Mary put God at the center of her life. She abandoned herself to his will in an attitude of humble obedience to his plan of love.”

Let us be infected by the joy of Mary; it is based on hope in God, draws strength from incessant prayer, and it allows dealing with tribulations with serenity.
