MYRTLE BEACH—Recently, the eighth graders from St. Andrew School visited Washington, D.C. The trip was a culmination of their years together at St. Andrew, a review of their social studies curriculum, and a time of prayer and unity.
They were given the honor of bringing up the gifts at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception during their visit. They also were met head-on with the weather challenges of a ferocious Nor’easter that swept through the area. As luck would have it, because tours were cancelled, they had the opportunity to meet the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team gold medalists.
