The Miscellany receives six awards

CHARLESTON—The Catholic Miscellany received six awards from the Catholic Press Association at the annual Catholic Media Convention held in Green Bay, Wis., June 13-16.

The Miscellany competes in the non-weekly diocesan newspaper category with a circulation of 25,001 or more.

Caroline Lindsey, graphic designer, received two second place awards for the article “Holy week: The days, the history, & the traditions,” for best use of art or graphics, and best layout of an article or column (pictured, above). She also received two honorable mentions, one for graphic artist/designer of the year, and another for best layout of an article or column for the “Protecting creation takes more than just recycling.”

Amy Wise Taylor won an honorable mention for best feature writing for “Finding Christianity at the root of Easter Traditions.

Juanita Bustamante received an honorable mention as videographer/video producer of the year. See Miscellany videos on our Youtube channel.
