Remember those who gave all to protect and serve

Miscellany/Deirdre C. Mays: Memorial Day is May 27 this year. A National Moment of Remembrance takes place at 3 p.m. local time and all are encouraged to observe one minute of silence in honor of those men and women in the U.S. Military who have given their lives while defending their country.

A Prayer for Fallen Soldiers

O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest,
look kindly on your departed veterans who gave their
lives in the service of their country.
Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of your Son
they may share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom
and rejoice in you with your saints forever.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
