COLUMBIA—Palmer Dayhuff and Max Miller, students at Cardinal Newman, were named 2019 High School Academic All Americans for the 2018-2019 school year by the National High School Coaches Association.
Dayhuff competes in cross-country and has a 4.8 GPA. He is a four-time winner at the state championships, placing 15th as a freshman, fourth as a sophomore and winning the title his junior and senior years. He will attend Clemson University and major in business.
Miller plays tennis, football and soccer and has a 4.6 GPA. Miller earned an All-State selection his sophomore year for tennis and received an All-State honorable mention selection for football his junior year. He plans to study engineering in college.
