SOUTH CAROLINA—Children from kindergarteners all the way to college-bound young adults bid farewell to summer as schools opened their doors to a new year.
The Diocese of Charleston, with 33 schools under its umbrella, welcomed students back the week of Aug. 19-23.
It will be a milestone year for some of those schools, such as St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Myrtle Beach, which will graduate its first class of seniors in 2020.
At the other end of the state, Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenville greeted its first-ever freshman class to kick off the opening of their Upper School. Read more about this in the Sept. 12 issue of The Miscellany.
Meanwhile, enjoy the snapshots from the first week of school in the seven deaneries of the diocese.
