Bishop announces new priest appointments

CHARLESTON—Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone made several new assignments for priests in the Diocese of Charleston recently.

Father Arokia Raj Mahimai Doss, MSSCC, was assigned administrator of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Gloverville, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Edgefield, and St. William Church in Ward, plus sacramental responsibilities at Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield. Effective Nov. 7, 2019.

Father Prasad Antony, MSSCC, was assigned administrator at St. Ann Church in Kingstree, St. Philip the Apostle Church in Lake City, and St. Patrick Mission in Johnsonville; plus sacramental responsibilities at Williamsburg Federal Correctional Institution in Salters. Effective Nov. 7, 2019.

Father Emeka Emmanuel Ekwelum, MSSCC, was assigned parochial vicar of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Gloverville, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Edgefield, and St. William Church in Ward; plus sacramental responsibilities at Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield. Effective Nov. 7, 2019.

Father Rafael Padron-Hernandez, CRM, was assigned parochial vicar at Jesus, Our Risen Savior Church in Spartanburg. Effective Dec. 6, 2019.
