COLUMBIA—Makenna Hoover, a senior at Cardinal Newman, is one of 20 high school cheerleaders from across the state chosen to represent Varsity Spirit in the London New Year’s Day Parade.
Makenna has been captain of Cardinal Newman Varsity Cheerleading for five years and is a three-time cheer All-American.
She cheers competitively for the current world champion program Rockstar Cheer in Greenville, where she is a Summit Champion and International Summit Grand Champion. She also is a National Cheerleaders Association National Champion and a Cheersport National Champion.
