CHARLESTON—Caleb Borick, 16, was named a 2020 National YoungArts Foundation Finalist in classical music, which is the organization’s highest honor. He is one of 21 finalists in the classical music discipline and is one of four pianists selected. He attends Church of the Nativity in Charleston.
Caleb will receive a cash prize of up to $10,000 and participated in National YoungArts Week Jan. 4-12, an intensive program featuring master classes, workshops and mentorship from leading artists.
As a finalist, he is eligible to become a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, one of the highest honors given to high school seniors; and to participate in one of the organization’s regional programs in Miami, Los Angeles or New York.
