Catholic Schools Week celebrated its 46th anniversary this year with events running from Jan. 26 to Feb. 1. The national event is a way to showcase what makes Catholic schools the best choice for education. Typically, schools observe the week with Masses, assemblies, and a variety of activities for students, families, parishioners and community members.
In the Diocese of Charleston, faculty and students pay special tribute to the priests and the women and men religious who provide the foundation for their faith and spiritual growth. They also honor the men and women who protect and serve their communities, and hold special days of recognition for various family members.
