DIOCESE—Two schools in the diocese announced the names of their national merit award winners.
Gracyn Kenyon, a senior at John Paul II School in Ridgeland, recently became their first student to become a National Merit Semifinalist Scholar.
At St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Greenville, Jessica Gerac and Mark Zakrzwski earned the national merit honor.
The program, an academic competition for scholarships, bases its awards on test results from the PSAT. Recipients are ranked in the top 1% of the nation’s high school seniors.
