Freelance Reporters
The Catholic Miscellany newspaper seeks freelance reporters in the Charleston and Hilton Head areas. Will conduct interviews and write news and feature stories as assigned by editor.
- Requires an understanding of Catholicism and the ability to be a positive representative of the paper at all times.
- Must have a superior command of the English language — both verbal and written — and knowledge of AP style.
- Must have the ability to conduct professional interviews and write clear, concise stories that capture the interview and subject matter.
- Must meet deadlines.
Previous experience in news preferred. Flat fee per assignment and/or published work.
