COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nearly 40 students received degrees during the 109th commencement at the Pontifical College Josephinum on May 10.
“Today marks the end of the Pontifical College Josephinum’s 120th year of service to the church in the great work of forming future priests,” said Msgr. Paul J. Langsfeld, rector and president.
The day included a Baccalaureate Mass, luncheon and commencement exercises that drew more than 200 visitors to the campus, according to a press release from the seminary.
Two men from the Diocese of Charleston, S.C., were among the graduates. They are Jason Oakes from Travelers Rest, S.C., who graduated from the college seminary; and Mark Good from Greensboro, N.C., who completed two years of pre-theology studies for the Diocese of Charleston.
“Thousands of men have been educated at the Josephinum and have gone on to give excellent service to the church …” said Msgr. Langsfeld. “Graduates of 2008, we look to you to carry on their great work as laborers in the vineyard of the Lord.”
