CHARLESTON—Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone has made the following appointments for priests in the Diocese of Charleston:
Adorno Father Melvin Avilla was appointed parochial vicar of Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Creek, and as administrator at both St. Philip Benizi Church in Moncks Corner and Our Lady of Peace Mission in Bonneau, effective Sept. 17.
Father Michael G. Boyle, new to the diocese, was appointed parochial vicar at St. Anthony Church in Florence, effective Oct. 15.
Adorno Father German J. Coquilla Jr., new to the diocese, was appointed parochial vicar of Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Creek, effective Nov. 1.
Father H. Gregory West, pastor of St. Andrew Church in Clemson and administrator of St. Paul the Apostle Mission in Seneca and St. Francis Mission in Walhalla, was appointed pastor at St. Paul the Apostle and St. Francis. Franciscan Father Daniel McLellan, new to the diocese, was appointed pastor at St. Andrew Church, effective Dec. 1.
Adorno Father Anastascio S. Villaluz, new to the diocese, was appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, and Father Nicholas Capetola, pastor, will become the priest in residence there, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
