BEAUFORT–Father Paul MacNeil, administrator of St. Peter Church led a eucharistic procession on the feast of Corpus Christi on June 2. The procession went from the main church on Lady’s Island to the historic church downtown.
The church reported that the event included many parishioners who braved rain and the elements to proudly represent the Catholic presence in in the city. Children were pulled in wagons and adults wore rain gear but everyone seemed to enjoy the two-mile walk followed by refreshments.
