COLUMBIA—Quade Wilson, a first-grader at St. Joseph School, was chosen by Zaner-Bloser as having the best handwriting in the nation in his age group. More than 300,000 students submitted entries for awards. Each Grand National Champion earns a trophy, $1,000, and educational materials for their school valued at $1,000. Also, the teacher of each Grand National Grade-Level Champion receives a trip to the International Literacy Association Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, in July.
