Bailey Hoover wins top spot in national/international essay contest

ROCK HILL—Bailey Hoover, 16, a junior at Rock Hill High School, placed second in the International Knights of Columbus 2015 Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest. She wrote her essay on “The Importance of Religious Freedom.”

In her thesis, she stated that “the freedom of religion creates conditions for peace, it promotes positive societal development, and grants the ability to make a genuine commitment to one’s personal faith,” according to the press release submitted by Grand Knight Joseph Geraci.
