GREENVILLE—Both the girls’ and boys’ cross country teams at St. Joseph’s Catholic School captured the South Carolina High School League Class A, Region II Championship title at the recent meet.
All-region team members include Sara Masaschi, Annika Bissinger, Katherine Uprichard, and Caroline Linen, Ford McCoy, Carter Powell, Jeffrey Fann, Alfredo Diaz Santillan, Zac Palmer and Nathan Petrofes.
Individual titles were also awarded, to Marie Kernel and George Carr as girls’ and boys’ Region Coach of the Year, respectively, and Ford McCoy winning Boys’ Region Runner of the Year.
In girls’ golf, St. Joseph’s placed second, behind Bishop England in the SCHSL Class AA State Championship Tournament. Carly Lyvers also earned second place in individual rankings.
