DANIEL ISLAND—St. Clare of Assisi Parish recently surprised the faculty and students of St. John School in North Charleston with a host of classroom supplies, tablet computers and gift cards worth $7,500 at a celebration on April 6.
The gifts were the result of an Easter Egg Giving Tree sponsored by the church.
“Parishioners took a paper egg from the tree listing an item from the school faculty’s wish list,” said Father Gregory West, pastor. “The St. Clare of Assisi crowd responded overwhelmingly generously and covered every item on the wish list — except for a piano.”
