Birthright of Georgetown celebrates 15 pro-life years

GEORGETOWN—Birthright of Georgetown celebrated its 15th anniversary at a drop-in  at “Carefree Catering” on Pawleys Island March 25.

The center opened at 1905 Front Street in 2002. Birthright of Georgetown is an all-volunteer organization which serves pregnant women who are getting ready for the arrival of a baby. Clients receive a layette, diapers for up to one year, and mentoring. Education and job readiness are frequently discussed. In 2016, Birthright of Georgetown had 1,766 office visits. The new clients totaled 252 adults and 23 teenagers. Also, 80 girls were enrolled in college or technical school programs.
