CHARLESTON—Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone has made assignments for priests in the Diocese of Charleston that will be effective Nov. 27.
Father José Hugo Ruíz Marentes, administrator of St. Mark Church in Newberry, Holy Spirit Mission in Laurens, and St. Boniface Church in Joanna, will become pastor of St. Louis Church in Dillon and Church of the Infant Jesus in Marion, with residence at St. Anthony Church in Florence.
Father Orlando Ardila Serrano will move from parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Church on Johns Island to administrator of St. Mark Church in Newberry, Holy Spirit Mission in Laurens, and St. Boniface Church in Joanna.
Father Rodolfo Gonzalez, parochial vicar of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in North Myrtle Beach, will become parochial vicar of St. Francis by the Sea Church and Holy Family Church, both on Hilton Head Island, with residence at St. Francis by the Sea.
