COLUMBIA—Alyssa Gorrin, a senior at Cardinal Newman School, received a merit award and cash prize for her entry in the Lander University High School Art Exhibit. Alyssa created a ceramic sculpture depicting three pears in progressive states of decay. Her theme reflected the fleeting nature of life.
