Graphic novel created for bicentennial

CHARLESTON—The Diocese of Charleston will kick off its 200th anniversary in 2019. As part of the celebration, Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone commissioned a graphic novel as part of the new evangelization appealing to a broad range of ages.

Deacon Andrew Thomas, a graphic artist and permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, is the founder of Bonaventure Comics. He is producing the graphic novel. Beginning in 2018, The Catholic Miscellany will feature each page until the novel is completed and then print it as a comic book.

Tune into The Miscellany to see the rest of the graphic novel as it is unveiled.
