
GREENVILLE—Andrew Lyons, a senior at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, was named a winner of Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Father Michael Scanlan, TOR, Scholarship Competition.

Lyons was chosen from among 80 competitors to receive one of two four-year full-tuition scholarships. Active in athletics and academics, he is a campus ministry leader, captain of the varsity football team, a National Merit Finalist, and a member of six National Honors Societies for a variety of subjects. Lyons also earned a perfect ACT score.
Sarah Pelicano, director of communications at St. Joseph’s, said Lyons has received offers of full-ride scholarships from other colleges as well.
Lyons plans to study biology on a pre-medicine track.
