Bishop invites faithful to celebrate ordinations and Bicentennial via livestream

Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone announced a weekend of celebrations and invited everyone to participate through livestreaming of the events, which includes an ordination and Bicentennial ceremonies.

“This weekend will be a busy but joyous few days for our diocese,” Bishop Guglielmone stated.

Today, Friday, July 10, the diocese will hold the presbyteral ordination of Deacons Michael Cellars and William Frei at 5 p.m. Watch live coverage at facebook.com/DioceseChas and youtube.com/DioceseChas.

On Saturday, July 11 at 1 p.m., Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg will read a proclamation declaring July 11, 2020, as Diocese of Charleston Day. Then at 1:15 p.m., Bishop Guglielmone will lead a rosary. Both of these events will be livestreamed from St. Mary of the Annunciation on facebook.com/DioceseChas.

On Saturday night at 5:30 p.m., the Vigil Mass for the Bicentennial of the founding of the Diocese of Charleston will be livestreamed from the Basilica of St. Peter in Columbia on youtube.com/DioceseChas and facebook.com/DioceseChas.
