The Catholic Miscellany won three national awards from the Catholic Press Association during the 2020 Virtual Catholic Media Conference.
The awards were announced during a video-streamed program on July 2. Participants include Catholic News Service, national magazines and diocesan newspapers from the United States and Canada.
Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone congratulated Deirdre C. Mays, editor, and the entire staff of The Catholic Miscellany “on their well-deserved awards.”

The Miscellany is the official newspaper of the Diocese of Charleston and is responsible for documenting the major news and events of the Church in the state of South Carolina. It was the first Catholic newspaper in the United States founded by Bishop John England in 1822.
