SUMMERVILLE—Knights of Columbus Council 6629 of St. John the Beloved Church teamed up with the Ladies Society to prepare a full meal for the men’s and women’s shelters in Summerville and the Veterans’ Home in Charleston.
The meal consisted of prime rib, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls and desserts. The meals were prepared over several days and on Christmas Eve morning the final preparations were completed and the meals delivered by Knights and volunteers.
Christmas cards, cookies and other treats were delivered by the Knights to First Responders on Christmas Eve as well.
