Bishop makes assignments for seven priests

CHARLESTON—Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone made several new assignments for priests in the Diocese of Charleston recently.

Effective Oct. 5, Father Agustin Torm was appointed priest-in-residence at St. Theresa the Little Flower Church in Summerville.

Effective Oct. 6, Father Bruce Barnett was appointed administrator of Sacred Heart Church in Gaffney and St. Augustine Church in Union, and chaplain for Tyger River Correctional Institution in Enoree.

Three assignments took effect Oct. 8. They are:  

Father Prasad Antony was appointed administrator of Holy Trinity Church in Orangeburg, St. Theresa Mission in Springfield, St. Andrew Church in Barnwell, and St. Mary Mission in Allendale, with sacramental responsibilities for Allendale Correctional Institution in Fairfax.

Father Michael McCafferty was appointed parish priest for Holy Trinity Church in Orangeburg, St. Theresa Mission in Springfield, St. Andrew Church in Barnwell, and St. Mary Mission in Allendale.

Father Gustavo Corredor was appointed part-time parochial vicar of Corpus Christi Church in Lexington and the Basilica of St. Peter in Columbia. He will also serve at the diocesan Hispanic Ministry station, Radio Revive.

Effective Oct. 10, Father German Coquilla, CRM, was appointed parochial vicar of St. Anne and St. Jude Church in Sumter.

Effective Oct. 16: Father Zbigniew Zielinski was appointed parochial vicar of St. Gregory the Great Church in Bluffton.
