COLUMBIA—The Cardinal Newman varsity volleyball team and swim team did their part to support breast cancer awareness and research. The volleyball players participated in the 12th annual Dig Pink event hosted by Camden High School, which included a silent auction, a hair cutting station for Locks of Love, and more. The swimmers devoted their practice to swimming breaststroke for two hours to raise money for breast cancer research. They requested donations for the number of lengths they swam or a one-time gift. The combined total was 52,000 yards and $1,000 for breast cancer research.
