JOHNS ISLAND—Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach has made the top 5 list in the competition to earn the title of non-profit of the year. The outreach, sponsored by the ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy, will be featured in the November issue of Charleston magazine and the final vote will take place on Nov. 20 during the Giving Back Awards celebration at Memminger Auditorium. Other finalists include the Avian Conservation Center, the Charleston Animal Society, LEARN Horse Rescue, and LifeManagement Center Inc. The top vote-getter will earn a spread in the magazine.
